Cross seasonal dressing - Hannah Lavery

Cross seasonal dressing

We all know how unpredictable the weather in South Africa can be, or anywhere  for that matter. We have a number of pieces that are lightweight, comfy and versatile enough to be worn alone or layered when needed. With chilly mornings, warm breezy afternoons, and colder nights - choosing an outfit that’s versatile for various weather conditions is not a simple task. But with a new season, comes a new look at your wardrobe.

Cross seasonal pieces allow us to be creative with our clothes all year around. The good thing about having pieces that can work all year around is that we aren't forced to purchase new items and that these items can carry us through for years and years. Transitional pieces allow us to play around with styles and it doesn’t limit our wardrobe. Layering your light weight items can also become a fun activity and a bonus is that you keep warm on those nippy mornings. Transitional pieces give you a great chance to have the best of both worlds.

It's definitely worth it to look into your cupboard and inspect the items you already have. Chances are you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the number of different looks you can put together with what you already have. Have a look at our styling videos on cross seasonal pieces.
